Academia:
-
Acquire a Masters Degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Material Science (I have aspirations to attend schools such as Cornell, M.I.T., Stanford, UC Berkeley, and a few more.)
-
Acquire a PhD in Applied Physics or in Materials Science later in my professional career

Career:
-
After graduating, I will consider entering the work force. Whether I apply to engineering positions post-graduation or accept an offer earned from a previous internship, I might be working as a full-time engineer in the industry.
-
Ultimately, my primary professional interest is in the aerospace industry, with specialization in the space technology and innovation. Growing up watching the innovative progress of companies, such as SpaceX and Boeing, has instilled a great desire in me to participate in the expansion of deep space exploration.

Future Plans
What is my Grand Challenge?
Advance Personalized Learning
The Grand Challenge that personally resonated with me the most is "Advance Personalized Learning." I believe a key component to a better and brighter future is finding multiple ways to deliver information and education so everyone is able to learn. By becoming masters of education and information, we can increase the quality of life for people in all classes of society, and across the globe to a previously unimaginable extent. As we continue to innovate and create, the possibility of a world that has universally accessible information becomes more tangible, but the discussion does not end with the achievement of that goal. We must, as a society, continue to develop new ways to learn and enhance our understanding of the world around us. It is apparent that providing people with unlimited access to knowledge can unlock the answers to problems and challenges that we have struggled with for generations. The world will become a more holistic and unified place if we can elevate everyone to their maximum potential, and that is the goal I will strive for throughout my life and career.
Personal Hobbies and Activities
-
I personally enjoy almost every sport that exists, but I mainly played baseball, football, soccer, and wrestling throughout my life before college
-
At the current moment my favorite thing to do is play volleyball in the summer with my friends
-
-
As you can see by the picture on the left, I'm really into video games, but I am especially interested in Rocket League (we won the America East Conference Title for $1000!)
-
Due to the pandemic, I have definitely spent more time online and in the virtual world then I would like to admit, so I am planning on taking several trips around the U.S. and around the world in the next year or so after graduation to get away from all the screens!

Current calculations suggest that it would require "51.4 billion 350W solar panels to power the world," and this would result in a solar plant that would cover roughly 115,625 square miles, or approximately the state of Arizona (113,998 square miles). This calculation, being done in recent years, gives me immense hope for the future because it demonstrates that there is room for improvement in this technology. As we continue to innovate and create, the possibility of a world that is run on sustainable, clean, and renewable energy becomes more tangible, but the discussion does not end with the achievement of that goal. Once our creation of power surpasses our consumption, it unlocks our ability to expand out into the universe. We could accomplish immense scientific milestones, like sending people to the Moon and Mars, or providing every person on Earth with clean water. The development of this technology can change the world and completely change the way we approach engineering and power usage.
